Long story short, I am about to reach a new milestone in my life. My oldest son, W1, started dating a young lady that he has known for several years and they are thinking of expediting this whole dating thing and getting married in about 4 months. I love my son and the young lady as well. I am so excited about getting to be a part of their lives.
Now the bittersweet part is that I already have a married child. My daughter, who is 20 married in April. Sadly, she married against our wishes after she had snuck out of our home. We found out about her secret relationship and she got married within two weeks of each other. We were heartbroken and sadly, our relationship is still strained because of the many lies she has told and a few people who are causing strife and stirring the pot even making things worse.
So, I get to be finally be the “Mother of the… Groom!” I am so excited for my son and JDIL She is so allowing me to be a part of her preparing to become his wife and I appreciate it so much. There are no words to describe how sweet it is to know that W1 will be marrying a good Godly young lady!
